What is ortak? Who are the founders?
ortak was founded in April 2022 by Aydın Doğan Yalçındağ, the founder of BluTV, and Anıl Mertol, with a mission to provide seamless access to a wide range of investment tools. The platform welcomed its first users in 2023.
On ortak, you can grow your savings by investing in Borsa Istanbul stocks and cryptocurrencies or by earning daily interest in Turkish Lira.
As Turkey's first social investment platform, ortak enables users to transparently view the portfolios and returns of those with public profiles while investing in cryptocurrencies. With just one click, you can replicate their investment strategies. For stock investments, you can access detailed portfolio data, returns, and past transactions of other users, helping you learn and make informed decisions based on their strategies.
Is ortak a licensed platform?
The cryptocurrency trading service is provided by Blutrade Cryptocurrency Trading Platform Inc. Blutrade has registered with the Capital Markets Board (CMB) as a cryptocurrency asset service provider under Article 11 of the Provisional Clause of Law No. 6362. Blutrade is included in the "List of Operating Entities" and intends to apply for a full operational license once secondary regulations are established.
Why is identity verification required?
For the Cryptocurrency investments, Blutrade Cryptocurrency Trading Platform Inc. complies with the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) regulations on customer identification, anti-money laundering (AML), and identity verification, in line with Law No. 5549 and the guidance issued in May 2021. Identity verification is mandatory to ensure compliance with these requirements.
What are the transaction fees and commission rates?
For the Cryptocurrency investments, a transaction fee of 0.15% (0.0015) is applied to the transaction volume.
Where are my cryptocurrencies stored?
Your cryptocurrencies are stored in wallets secured by Fireblocks technology, a solution certified by one of the world’s leading cybersecurity institutions. All cryptocurrencies are held in our treasury under your name.
